"Planning a wedding is at times like trying to navigate your way through a country to which
you don't speak the language - colours and flowers, locations and dates, dresses and
themes, just to name a few.  For me, having a beautiful, visual and tangible record of my
wedding day was the most important decision to make amid the sea of details waiting to
be solidified.  Jonathan and myself dream about taking down our wedding album in 40
years to relive and retell our special day with our grandchildren.  Memories are priceless,
but with time they can fade and even fill with holes as a lifetime of other memories fill our
minds and hearts.  Because of this, it was paramount for us to find a photographer who
would not just mechanically point and shoot at the standard group portraits, guests and
traditional moments throughout our wedding day.  A day that symbolizes Jonathan and I
declaring to the world that we had found each other, the love of our lives, our soul mates.
Our search for the perfect photographer for us, that proverbial needle in the haystack of
literally countless options - lead us to Robert Miedema.  What first peaked our interest in
Robert was when we came upon his website (www.mrphotographer.ca) where we
learned about his dedication and obvious passion for immortalizing in digital media one of
the most important days in a couple's life together; their wedding.  There on his website
were beautiful, creative and unique images - and seemed to capture not just the people,
but their emotions, and personality as well.  
Robert photographs in such a way as to tell a story with a combination of posed and
candid shots.  His dedication to his clients was obvious, capturing unique and special
moments beginning with getting ready at the start of the day, right through to the tossing of
the bouquet.  Another reason we chose Robert to photograph our wedding is that he offers
engagement photo sessions, beautifully constructed original wedding albums and
provides a DVD of proofs that we can print at our convenience. Several different sizes of
prints are also available.
Robert offers a wide range of wedding photography packages, allowing us to choose a
package that best suited our wants, needs and budget.  Another important reason we
choose Robert was his experience, professionalism and preference to meet with us long
before the Big Day.  He met with us to get to know us better, answer our questions, gather
any input we had and offer suggestions/tips on how best to photograph our wedding day.
And, despite the fact that he must have a hectic schedule, Robert makes the time for his
clients whether for a meeting or just asking/answering questions in an email.  While we
liked that we would be consulted with certain aspects of the photography on our wedding
day, it is very comforting to know that Robert will have all the details and artistic options
under control.  After meeting Robert we felt very much at ease, confident in his skills, his
dedication, his artistry and ability to make our book of memories one of a kind."
